Maidstone Fringe Festival, now in its fifth year, takes place over multiple venues in Maidstone, Kent over 5 days from Thursday 30th April until Monday 4th May 2015. The majority of events are FREE, with some cover charge events.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed are Annie Mac, Nine Below Zero, Shadow Child, The Keytones, Upcdownc, Sally Ironmonger, The Devils Prefects, The Soundcasters, Van Susans, Salvation Jayne, The Slytones, Black Lion Courtiers, Funke & The Two Tone Baby, Theatre Royal, Migden & Gibson, Rhonda & The Great Unknown, Masterclass, Ben Russell & The Charmers, The Florescents, Jackal Pack, Mark Morriss, Cut The Funk, Knights Of Hoodoo, The Dredgermen, The Parade, Broken Banjo, Fred Clark, Native People, Dead Bears, Lithodrone, Oskar Vilcrow, David James Rumsey, The Black Waterside, Toby Starks & Friends, Flawless Carbon, As Worlds Collide, One Day Elliott, First Family, Audiowhores, with more to be announced.

What's on?

Focused predominately on music, but also including comedy & street entertainers, the festival, and the musical focus is from rock, indie and pop-punk, through to acoustic and blues acts, contemporary folk, funk, soul, dance and hip-hop. Though a large percentage of the acts are from the South East & Kent, they do welcome performers from across the UK.

Venues

Venues confirmed to date include: The Style & Winch, Earls, The Druids Arms, The Flowerpot, The Source Bar, The Rafters, The White Horse, The Art Lounge, The Music Room - Pizza Express, The Art Lounge, The Royal Albion, The Pilot, Frederic, The Bowerhouse and an open air stage, the Festival Folly in Jubilee Square.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.

Incorporated within the festival are a number of all-day events and dance all-nighters, as well as family friendly entertainment in Jubilee Square and cafes and coffee shops in the Town Centre, with much of the music being free to attend!
