Festival on the Moor 2009

The Festival on the Moor will be held in the village of Osmotherley, North Yorkshire where there will be a full programme of Folk Music & Dance Events throughout the week from Monday 7th until Sunday 13th September 2009 and incorporates The 2nd Osmotherley Gathering Folk Weekend (11th - 13th).

The line-up includes Wendy Arrowsmith, Blind Summat, Graham Brotton, Burning the Water, Accordance Ceilidh Band, Blue Sun, Rick Bockner, Brother Crow, Rebekah Findlay Richard Grainger, Barbara Helen, High Level Ranters, Kern Morris, John Kirkpatrick, The Old Dance School, John Ward & Mario Price, Jim Radford, Martyn Wyndham Read, Stormcrow, Ethan Thomas, Steve Turner, Stealing Sheep, Steve Dawes & Helen Pitt, Flossie, Emma Foreman, Bob Fortune, Shirley Higton, Landermason, Chris Milner, String Theory, and Ethan Thomas.

Weekend tickets for the Osmotherley Gathering Folk Weekend are priced at £25, Concession £20, Child (aged 6-16 years) £12, children aged 5 and under can attend for free. An all day ticket for Saturday is price £14, concession £12, and child (6-16) £6. All day ticket for Sunday is priced at £8, concession £6 child (6-16) £4. An evening ticket for either a Friday night or Saturday night concert is priced at £6, concession £5, and child £4.

The festival will also offer workshops, singarounds, musicians sessions, concerts, and local producers at an arts & crafts fair, as well as face-painting, storytelling and family fun.

This is a non-camping event, however there is a nearby caravan site, and various accommodation options including local b&b's and a YHA five minutes walk from the North Yorkshire village. The local campsite is at Cote Ghyll only a 5 min walk from the village.
