Uckfield is held in East Sussex, between London and Eastbourne on the A22, and runs from Friday 8th until Sunday 17th July 2011. The festival is a 10 day event including classical, folk,blues, reggae, and ska as well as markets, dance and drama, and family days out.

Uckfield's Big Day Out will take place on Saturday 9th July 2011. The Theme of this year's festival is 'Uckfield at Work, Rest and Play'.

Friday 8th to Sunday 17th July 2011
7.30pm – The Dark Tales presented by the Quint-essential theatre company at Framfield Village Hall. Tickets £10, concessions £8.

Friday 8th July 2011
6pm – Launch of the Uckfield Art Trail at the Wealden Skills Centre.
6.30pm – Uckfield Bellringers announce the launch of the 2011 Uckfield Festival from the tower of Holy Cross Church.
7.30pm – The Old Star Morris Dancers and Hannah's Cat in the Highlands Inn.
7.30pm – Pamphilon Theatre at Uckfield Community Technology College hosts (UCTC) Uckfield Youth Theatre's traditional production of Peter Pan by J M Barrie. Tickets £8 adults, £4 concessions.

Saturday 9th July 2011
10am – 5pm – Big Day, French Market, street performers, arena events
including dance, music of various genres. Special attraction The Wheel House Theatre and the Grand Parade, bigger and better this year including seven schools and various community groups.
1.30pm – High Street procession.
7.30pm – Pamphilon Theatre – Peter Pan.
7.30pm – Jazz Concert on Luxfield Field with The Dave Fellingham Big Band. Concert finishes at 9.30pm.
9.30pm – Spectacular Illumination & Animation Ceremony of the Uckfield Oak on Luxford Field.

Lions 10K Fun Run at Buxted Park. 10.30am start – Fun Run: 9-15 yrs old. £2, turn up on the day. 11.30am start – 10k Adult Run. £8
12 – 4pm Kit Car Grand Prix This year 20 schools take part at TR Fastenings Car Park.

6pm – 7.30pm Festival Club – 'It's a wild wild world' – Story Telling in the Luxford Lounge at the Uckfield Civic Centre with Bernard Tagliavini and Jamie Crawford. Free – Collection for performers.

Tuesday 12th July 2011
1.00 pm – United Reformed Church Songs and Arias at Lunchtime. Mark Beesley (bass-baritone) and Amanda Buckland (soprano). Tickets at the door: £5.
2.15pm – 2.45pm Stories for preschool children at Uckfield Library with Lucy Hendey. Free.
6pm to 7.30pm – Festival Club – Maddie Broad Sings at the Luxford Lounge, Uckfield Civic Centre. Free – Collection for performers.
7.30pm – The Rude Mechanical Theatre Company – 'Gentle Harry's Farm. Tickets £12, Seniors £11, Student £9, Children 9-17 £6, 2 adults + 2 children £30. Group of 10 together £100. Picnics from 6pm. Performance 7.30pm, at Little Horsted Primary School field.
7.30pm – 10.30pm – Open Mike Night at the Uckfield Club. Entry free.

1pm – Classical recital – Holy Cross Church James Thomas organ recital ‘Bach and his Circle’. Tickets £5 at the door.
6pm – 7.30pm – Festival Club – Moodswing Jazz Trio at the Luxford Lounge. Free – Collection for performers.
6pm – 7.30pm – Uckfield Festival 5-a-side World Cup Tournament at Holy Cross School Field.

Thursday 14th July 2011
6pm – 7.30pm – Festival Club – Blues and folk session with Rory Graham at the Luxford Lounge.

Friday 15th July
9.30am – Walk – Shortbridge: the long way around (7 miles, 3 hours). Meet and finish at Bridge Cottage. No booking. Free, donation in aid of Bridge Cottage welcome. 6pm – 7.30pm – Festival Club – So Last Century String Band at the Luxford Lounge. Free – Collection for performers.
7.30pm – Piano Duets for a Summer’s Night at the United Reformed Church. The Elwin-Maxwell Piano Duo. Tickets at the door: £7.50.
7.30pm – Pamphilon Theatre, Comedy about Northern Soul Victoria at Uckfield Community Technology College. 14+ Tickets £8.
9.30pm – Northern Soul evening with Adrian Corbin from Uckfield FM – at the Uckfield Cinque Ports Club. Featuring Keith & Maxine Woon, Paddy 'Soul Survivors' Shevlin, Nichy & Tracey – The Sisters of Soul – & from Cheltenham, Mike 'hodgey in the house' Hodges. Tickets: £5 on the door.

Saturday 16th July 2011
10am – 12.00 – Hempstead Meadows Open Day Free refreshments and a guided walk.
10.00am – 16.00pm – Buskers on the High Street, Uckfield.
2.15pm – 2.45pm – 'Dancing with Bears' Childrens stories and songs with Lucy and Jane Hendey at Uckfield Library. Free - bring a bear.
7.45pm – Doors 7pm – St Thomas A Becket Church . Music based on Irish-Celtic folk, with Barber & Taylor + Amy Reed . Tickets £10 (including a light supper).

8.00pm – Le Roc Dance – Free lesson at the Weald Hall

Sunday 17th July 2011
2.00pm – Uckfield's Annual Family Fun Day on the Luxford Field.
4pm – Walk – New Town and ancient woods (3 miles, 2 hours). Meet and finish at Bridge Cottage. No booking. Free.
7.30pm – Last Night of the Proms at the Weald Hall with Uckfield Concert Brass and Surrey Harmony featur.
