Uckfield is held in East Sussex, between London and Eastbourne on the A22, and runs from Friday 13th until Sunday 22nd July 2012. The festival is a 10 day event including classical, folk,blues, reggae, and ska as well as markets, dance and drama, and family days out.
Uckfield's Big Day Out will take place on Saturday 14th July 2012. The Theme of this year's festival is of Stories from Around the World incorporating the Olympic Theme.

Saturday 14th July
Uckfield Big Day
There will be the usual community and commercial stalls on Luxford Field together with entertainment throughout the day in the Arena.
Dog Obedience Demonstration and an invitation is given to all DOG OWNERS to bring along their pet to join in the fun of finding the fastest dog. (There will be a secure ring)
Debs Dancers Singers ..Buskers ..Musicians
There will be an interactive Puppits and Digits theatre group roaming around the field.
The Festival Association is paying for workshops in primary schools for children to make 'puppets' on the theme of Stories from Around the World incorporating the Olympic Theme. These puppets plus Spiritus, the drumming band will be parading from Uckfield Community Technology College to the Luxford Field Arena via the High Street from 1.30pm

Electric Car Grand Prix at TR Fastenings approx. 20 schools compete in the Kit Cars they have made and customised.

Tuesday 17th July
10.30am The Alternative Uckfield Torch Run
Today is the day that the Official Olympic Torch passes Uckfield but unfortunately neither by running or through the town. As an alternative we have our own Torch Run including all seven of the schools within the Uckfield Parish Boundary. It will start at 10.30am at the junction of London Road and the A272, passing along London Road, the High Street, New Town and Lewes Road to the Little Horsted Roundabout.
Please note there will be road closures at this time.

Thursday 19th July
8pm HOTSHOTS Dance Le Roc offers a Free Beginners Lesson at the Weald Hall, Uckfield Civic Centre. Its a mix of Salsa, Latin, Jive and Swing elements. Enjoy something different. Come on your own or with a partner. Dancing keeps you fit and you make new friends.

7.45 to 9.30pm A Free concert presented by Uckfield Concert Brass culminating in the1812 overture with the attendant canon noise and light effects on Luxford Field. Bring along a picnic. There will be a bar provided. This is followed by:
9.45pm as the sky darkens there will be a performance inside the Sky Dome, projected on to the outside of the dome. Again this is free.
