Woolfire Festival - CANCELLED 2009

Due to a lower number of ticket sales than expected Woolfire Festival has been cancelled this year. All those who have bought tickets will receive a full refund. The organisers are very much hoping to return in 2010.

The Woolfire Festival takes place in Woodmancott, in Hampshire, in the South of England from Friday 14th until Sunday 16th August 2009.

The confirmed acts are Sky Larkin headlining on Friday, Pure Reason Revolution headlining on the Saturday, Napoleon IIIrd, David Thomas Broughton, Cats In Paris, Keyboard Choir, Pagan Wanderer Lu, Alex & The Ligers, Amine, A Scholar & A Physician, Disco_R.Dance, Jam On Bread, JayEtAl, Life In Film, Mat Riviere, The Moulettes, Nedry, Peter Lyons Ratface, Remnant Psyche, Rude NHS, Thos Henley, and We Aeronauts, with many more still to be announced.

This is a small festival looking to promote lesser known artists and alternative music and has camping available. There will be over eighty acts consisting of bands, DJs, electronic artists, acoustic acts, label showcases and particularly those artists with a more diverse, experimental edge to their music. Performances will be split across three outdoor stages and you can expect a range of rock, indie, reggae, funk, punk, folk, noise-core, trance, dance, electronica and more.

Music will start at noon on the Saturday and Sunday. Music finishes at around 3am on the Friday and Saturday nights, with an earlier 5:00pm finish on the Sunday.

In addition to the diverse range of music on offer there will also be provision of a bar, food stalls, craft stalls, various fun and educational workshops, and the Woolfire cinema.

Tickets are priced at £32 with parking £5.

Daytime performances on the main stages give way to late night DJ sets, whilst the cafe stage and bonfire are on hand offering ambient tunes.
