Apollo Festival is a new annual one day festival to take place in York on Saturday 21st June 2014. Taking place in the grounds of York Sport's Club, Clifton Park, on Shipton Road.
Line-up
Main Stage: Reverend and The Makers, Mark Morriss, We Could Be Astronauts, Redstar, The Supermodels, Black Delta Movement, and Beth McCarthy.
Apollo Dance Temple: Mistress De Funk, Kate Lawler, Hollyweood Hills, Hartleysjam Inc, Ben Davitt, Dave ook & Matty Robson, Marc Wilkie, Jam_Ez, and Jon Stewart.
Acoustic Stage: Tom Hingley, Boss Caine, Pelico, Vesper Walk, Issie Dalby and a selection of talented musicians from the Access To Music College.
The Entertainment Company Presents Stage: The Entertainment Company, Target By Numbers Rockers, The Fallen, and Van de Neer.
Tickets
The early bird offer has ended. Tickets are priced at £12 per adult (+ booking fee), and children (under 12's) tickets are priced at £1 per child.
Festival goers will be able to enjoy two stages of music, plus a large number of stalls, attractions and caterers provided by some of York's favourite local businesses plus a full fairground, and a whole day of children's activities with open Air theatres free Kids zone and the annual hay bale fight.
Charity
Organisers hope to raise as much as possible for charities. Apollo 2014 is supporting The Smiley Riley Fund which is an organisation in York that makes donations to families & carer's of children having chemotherapy to help with their living and travel costs during their child's treatment.
Accommodation
This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
