Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod has run every summer since 1947. Each year around 4,000 performers converge on Llangollen a small Welsh town to sing and dance in a unique combination of music, dance and international peace and friendship.
The 70th Eisteddfod will take place from Tuesday 5th until Sunday 10th July 2016 at the Royal International Pavilion in Llangollen.
Line-up
Jools Holland is returning to Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod – to celebrate becoming a vice president of the iconic festival. His Sunday show will feature guest vocalists Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall. Other acts confirmed include a celebration of musical theatre featuring Kerry Ellis, a gala concert featuring Bryn Terfel, The Friday night concert, Heart Of Llangollen, will showcase the best of the international competitors, plus The Swingle Singers, and Katherine Jenkins who appears on the opening night.
Six days of music and folk dance from all over the world in one place! More than 4,000 competitors, from over 50 countries will take part.

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
