Seafest International Maritime Festival is a free festival, celebrating its twelfth anniversary this year, and taking place from Friday 15th until Sunday 17th July in Scarborough with events taking place at the West Pier Stage and various harbour-side venues.

The event includes concerts, a Singaround, and over 25 acts in over 200 performances over the three days.

Line-up

Acts confirmed are Steve Turner, Richard Grainger, Monkeys Fist, Steve Dawes & Helen Pitt, Alan Whitbread, Devils Water, Beggars Bridge, Malcolm Ward, Jim Saville, Direction Corsaires (Belgium), Tom & Barbara Brown, Chris Ricketts, Aroha2Aloha Dance Group, Jim Radford, Boathook Bald, and The Ramshackle Shantymen, with more to be announced.

Other activities

The maritime festival also has plenty of family and children's entertainment, including face painting and more.

Fundraising events

In the light of the current economic climate, organisers of Scarborough's Seafest Maritime Music Festival have announced that they are to hold a series of fundraising events in the town as funding from the Borough Council has been withdrawn. Richard Grainger, co-founder of the event, said: "We know how much the event means to everyone in Scarborough and to the tourism industry and hope that many will rally round and come along to enjoy the music and the fun on offer."

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
