The Small is Beautiful festival is a hands-on weekend exploration of social justice and low carbon technology through talks, practical workshops, debates, music and the arts.
The festival takes place from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th September 2015 at the Centre for Alternative Technology, Powys, in mid-Wales.
Line-up
Music & comedy: Josie Long, Sam Lee, Rob Newman, Joe Strouzer, Ember, Kings of the South Seas, Jimmy Aldridge & Sid Goldsmith, All-star Ceilidh Band.
Speakers: Dr. Jane Davidson, former Welsh Minister for Environment & Sustainability; Aubrey Meyer, co-founder of the Global Commons Institute; Feimattah Conteh, Sustainability Manager, Arcola Theatre; Andrew Simms, Fellow at New Economics Foundation (NEF).
Workshops: Soil Association – Earthworms, Wind turbine blade carving, Biogas, Community composting, Straw bale building, Hydrologists Without Borders, Ukelele and song writing, Spoon carving, Kids area.
Tickets
Weekend tickets are priced at £55 for adults, a Concession weekend ticket is £4, and a Young Adult (aged 12-16 years) weekend ticket is priced at £27.50, and children aged under 12 years can attend for free.
An adult day ticket is priced at £30, Concession £25, Young Adult (12-16) £20, Under 12s free
